About Us

Nomura Academy began in 2021 when COVID-19 cut short the high school baseball season. Our family began running free workouts for the kids on island to help them continue their development and we sent out video to help players get recruited.

In 2025, we made our 5th journey through Ohio where we played 21 games in 17 days and won a the PG 18U Ohio Valley Championship. Later that fall we took a group through Las Vegas to face the LA Dodgers Scout team and brought competition back to the islands with an 8-game series with South Hills HS (CA). During the winter break we put on the Hawaii Winter Collegiate Series, a 3-game series that highlighted the top high school and junior college players. 6 Pitchers were up to 90+ MPH during the event.

Our regular baseball activity consists of various training camps for high school players, youth camps during the school breaks, and our 3-premier events: The Spring Showcase, Underclass Prospect Series, and Hawaii Winter Collegiate Series. We also run Sunday Night Baseball, a weekly showcase game that MLB scouts come out to watch. We are proud to announce that 100+ Sunday Night Baseball alumni have advanced onward to college athletics and 6 athletes are playing professional baseball. In 2026, we created the Spring Showcase. An invite-only event for the state's top hitters to hit in front of MLB crosscheckers and scouting directors. This summer we will make our 6th journey to the Ohio Valley region where we will play 17+ games in a 15-day time span vs top tier competition. In the fall we will take a 16U group through Japan for an 8-game gauntlet vs some of the best in Japan.

Our mission is to serve the Hawaii baseball community by providing development and exposure opportunities, while keeping costs down for the Hawaii athletes. Join our cause by becoming a financial supporter today!

The Ohio Trip helped me prepare for college by allowing me to see top competition in the country. Facing the college level velocity and speed of the game was a necessary key to prepare me for collegiate baseball.
